About this experience

Some places stay with us long after we leave them. A first holiday, a childhood home, or the city where you first met — returning to them can bring an entire chapter of life back into focus.

Our Memory Lane Trip films are built around that connection between past and present. We capture the places as they are today, while weaving in your own photographs and footage from the original moments.

The film moves naturally between then and now, bringing old memories into conversation with the present day. It’s not simply a record of a return, but a story about the people you were, the lives you’ve lived, and what those places still mean to you.

The result is a deeply personal film that turns a familiar place into a journey through memory.

02 · The Process

How it works

Four stages, and only one of them is your holiday. Permits, scheduling and the edit are ours.

  1. 01

    Consultation & Planning

The director who will shoot the trip plans the itinerary with you.

    • Video call with the director
    • Itinerary and film planned together
    • Locations shortlisted by hour of day
    • Deliverables agreed before we quote
  2. 02

    Pre-Production

We obtain the permits and confirm the locations, then build the schedule around what clears.

    • Filming permits applied for
    • Drone clearances, location by location
    • Call times set against sunrise and sunset
    • Venues, hotels and stylists briefed
  3. 03

    Production (Your Trip)

A director and crew film the trip as it happens, working around your plans.

    • The crew travels with you
    • Observational unless a setup needs direction
    • Aerial coverage where drones are cleared
    • Backed up before the crew turns in
    • Preview clips within 48 hours
  4. 04

    Post-Production

Your film comes back edited, colour graded and scored.

    • Licensed score, or your track cleared
    • Sound design and mix
    • A cut for review, then your revisions
    • Film, social cuts and stills delivered

Questions

Before you book

How far in advance should I book?

At least 4-6 weeks for shoots within the UAE and 8-10 weeks for international destinations. That allows time for planning, permits and coordination.

Can I choose the music for my film?

Yes. We cut to licensed tracks, and the time to send us the ones you like is before the edit starts rather than after. A specific commercial track may carry its own licensing fee, quoted separately — we do not deliver a film with an uncleared track on it.

How long will it take to receive the final film?

It depends on the production: two to three days for a single-day shoot, up to ten to fourteen days for a full travel film. The window is listed on every product. You receive preview clips within 48 hours of the shoot either way.

What if the weather is bad during our shoot?

We re-order the day rather than lose it — interiors and covered locations move up the call sheet, and the drone stays on the ground until the wind drops. If conditions are genuinely unsafe we reschedule the affected portion at no extra cost.

Do you travel internationally?

Yes, worldwide. International shoots carry additional crew travel and accommodation costs, quoted separately based on the destination.
